You are invited to a public forum on financing options for development of
downtown Eugene with Charles Kupper, city staff and Portland consultant.
There will be adequate time for questions so please come with your input.
Let's all strive for the vibrant downtown Eugene that we all would like to
see.

Sorry for any cross postings.

Financing and Implementing the Vision for a Greater Downtown Eugene?

· How do we fund the "vision"?
· How does this relate to adopted growth management goals?
· Should there be incentives for the private sector?
· Should the public sector be involved?
· What are the opportunities for public involvement?

On January 29th and February 12th the Eugene City Council will discuss
financing options to benefit downtown. City staff is recommending a
combination of options that include urban renewal, property tax exemptions,
and reduced permit fees.

City staff and Portland consultant, Charles Kupper, will join the Friends of
Eugene to explain their proposals, answer questions, and listen to our
community.
