Dear Ed,

Thank you for the invitation. As always, I look forward to sharing information with the Register Guard.

An interview this week would be fine. After the Planning Commission meeting on Monday, my schedule looks pretty open.

It does seem a bit late to be sharing information on this particular subject, as the paper has already rushed ahead to publish a strongly-worded editorial that hinges on a pivotal error of fact.

But better late than never, right? Perhaps we can discuss what might go into the retraction.
